I have known Penny Christensen for over 20 years and besides being a very good friend, the kind that is always there for you, she carries that trait over into her work. When we were moving from California to Alaska and involved in a short sale, Penny helped us with all of the minute details, including negotiating with the bank and mortgage insurance company in addition to her usual duties as a listing broker. Penny is a consummate professional and extremely thorough; she knows the real estate business inside and out. But I believe her most singular and valuable talent in her work is that she doesn’t just consider it “work” – she actually cares about the individuals she is working for. Penny is the kind of person who takes you under her wing, explains the entire process of buying and selling a home, how to make the most of what you have, what makes one property sell over another that may sit on the market much longer, etc. I can picture Penny on a show such as HGTV, because she cares so much about not only doing her job, but also the clients she serves, who invariably become her friends.
My husband and I first met Penny when we were ready to sell our home in Pleasanton. Our son had experience with her expertise previously, so naturally we called on her. She was very helpful in the dealings with this situation. Our next venture was to find another home, since we wanted to move out of the area. She and her husband had a home in Pine Mountain Lake (Groveland), which sounded just what we were looking for, as I was newly retired and we wanted to live “retiree’s lives”. Our experience was awesome, starting out with a wonderful tour of Yosemite, which she orchestrated (I had never been there). Well, needless to say, that cinched the deal, we definitely wanted to live in Groveland. We found our house the first day we looked. Many thanks to Penny!
